Hackers Are Attacking Cloud Accounts to Mine Cryptocurrencies, Google Says

Of the 50 hacked Google Cloud Platforms or GCPs, 86% of them have been used for cryptocurrency mining, which generally consumes giant quantities of computing assets and cupboard space, Google’s Cybersecurity Motion Workforce wrote within the report. The rest of the hacking actions included phishing scams and ransomware.
